A staple gun is a tool used to fasten pieces of paper or other materials together by driving staples into the material. Staples are thin, U-shaped pieces of metal that are often used to fasten papers together. A staple gun has a handle and a barrel. The barrel has a small hole at one end and a spring-loaded arm at the other end. The arm is connected to a set of staples. When the gun is squeezed, the arm is released and the staples are shot out of the hole and into the material.
