It is a door that goes on your garage. It is usually wood or metal and opens and closes with a handle or a keypad. Some garage doors have windows in them so you can see inside while others are solid. There are also different types of garage doors such as rolling, sectional, and overhead doors.

The garage door is attached by rollers with ball bearings to a track so it can roll up and down along the track, essentially opening and closing the garage in a vertical movement.

What is a garage door

Rolling garage doors are the most common type of garage door. They are made of either wood or metal and roll up and down on a track. These doors are easy to open and close but can be noisy.

Sectional garage doors are also made of wood or metal but they have sections that bend as the door opens and closes. These doors are more expensive than rolling garage doors but they are also quieter.

Overhead garage doors are the most expensive type of garage door. They are made of metal and open and close with springs. These doors are very quiet but can be difficult to open if the spring breaks.
