Painting a fence is not always necessary and you can paint a fence with a moisture-regulating paint.

Painting a fence is always satisfying.

After all, it clears up immediately.

How to paint your fence

When you place a fence, it looks fresh.

The wood then smells fresh.

Fence wood is often impregnated.

The wood has been in a bath.

There are, as it were, salt crystals in it.

These need about a year before they are out.

Only then can you paint that fence.

You can of course also grow plants against it.

Like, for example, an ivy.

Then you don’t have to paint the fence.

Or you like not to paint it.

The wood then becomes greyish in color.

That gives a certain charm to the wood.

There are people who like this kind of fence.

Fence painting already treated.

If you already have a fence that is not new but has been treated as if it was previously treated, you can give it a service.

It depends on what paint you used before.

You have to continue with the same paint.

Stain is used for this in most cases.

Stain is moisture regulating and resistant to moisture.

After all, a fence is constantly exposed to weather influences such as rain and snow.

If you want to see the structure, you will have to opt for a transparent stain.

If you want to paint a fence with a color, you will have to choose an opaque stain.

For both species I have further information about this. CLICK HERE FOR INFO.

Painting a new fence.

You cannot directly paint a fence fence.

You have to wait at least 1 year before the substances are removed by the impregnation bath.

If you do not adhere to this, the stain will peel off over time and it is a waste of your work and material.

So wait at least a year.

When painting a fence, you first have to clean everything well.

After all, there is dirt on the wood that needs to be removed.

You can do this with a pressure washer.

Run an all-purpose cleaner through it.

You will then immediately degrease the wood.

Before you continue, wait for the fence to dry completely.

Then you start sanding.

If you use a transparent stain, use a scotch brite.

A scotch brite is a sponge that prevents scratches on the surface.

After all, you want to see the structure of the wood and not scratch it.

After that, clear everything from dust and start staining.

Apply at least two coats.

Don’t forget to sand lightly between coats.

A partition with what tools.

To treat a secretion   you do need tools to get a nice result.

You can paint the entire fence with a wide brush, but realize that you are busy for a long time.

To do it faster, take a brush, a paint roller of ten centimeters and a paint tray   suitable for that paint roller.

There are special rollers for sale that are suitable for pickling.

Buy this for a nice result.

Before you pour the stain into the paint tray, stir the stain well.

Then you take the brush to paint the posts between the fence and the roller to finish the planks.

You will see that it goes much faster and painting a fence becomes so much easier.

Immediately give a treatment with Moose farg.

You don’t have to wait a year to paint a fence with Moose Farg.

You can do this directly on it.

Moose farg is a stain from Sweden that is matte.

This is extremely suitable for extreme weather influences.

The paint is solvent-free and completely odorless.

It is suitable for all types of wood.

In addition, they have their own colors.

If you want more information about this, read my blog about it: Moose farg.
